Anne Marie Shaw Almaraz is a DMPC Teacher Leader. She teaches various levels of mathematics, including Discrete Math at Otay Ranch High School in Chula Vista, California. In DMPC, she works to create a cohesive vision of the couse within the Sweetwater Union High School District by supporting her fellow teachers, refining the DMP curriculum, creating sharable resources and compiling assessments. She views herself as a teachers who strives to build community both inside and outside her classroom.
Clara Mateo is an Associate Director and curriculum writer for DMPC. In addition to writing mathematical codes for the Cryptography unit, she also instructs pre-service teachers at SDSU. She has taught in Spain and China and has a deep appreciation for bringing together diverse perspectives on mathematical topics.
